Do you think Mme. Forestier will sell the diamond necklace and return the Loisels’ money?

Personally, I'd like to think Madame Forestier would take pity on Mathilde and do just that. It would be a gracious gesture, and a great help to Mathile and her husband. None-the-less, I'd also like her to give Mathilde a nice long lecture about honesty and openess. Had Mathilde been honest to begin with.... she could have saved her husband and herself from unnecessary hardship.
