Do you think Mr. Loisel was content with his life before the ball took place?

In my opinion, Loisel was perfectly happy with his life before the ball. He made a good living, married a beautiful woman, had a nice home, and had enough money to hire help for his wife. Loisel's only problem seemed to be keeping his wife happy, as she was never content.
