How has the 10 years of hard work changed Mahtilde's and made her a better person?

I think that Madame Loisel is more realistic about herself and her identity. She learns the value of hard work and discovers she can be proud of what she can achieve from that hard work. She no longer dreams about being somebody that she is not.
