How will Odysseus get home, according to Zeus?
book 5-8
book 5-8
Athena appeals to her father (Zeus) that Odysseus had been left on the island and longed to his return to Ithaca and to see his wife Penelope and his son Telemachus. Zeus tells her to protect Telemakhos, and sends Hermes to order Kalypso to release her prisoner - although Odysseus must first sail alone on a raft to Skheria, where he will receive lavish gifts from the Phaiakians before returning home in a proper ship.
