The Odyssey
Sacrifices to the Gods
In The Odyssey, the "thighs" are always the part of the animal offered as a sacrifice to the Gods. Does anybody know why? Or, do you know where this originated or where I can find any information about it?

thighs were thought to have generative powers
i also agree with chris ...... it was a prop to give strength and power... it made the gods feel royal .
