The Odyssey is the story of Odysseus' journey home to Ithaca, and the many problems he faces on the journey back to his wife from his imprisonment on the island of Ogygia, where Calypso has kept him captive. Note; his time with Calypso was mutually agreeable until the time came that he wanted to leave.
