The poet calls upon the muse the daughter of Zeus. Who does he call?

We are not apprised of the specific muse called upon by Homer in the text, as Zeus has nine Daughters of Wit and Charm. It is widely believed, however, that the muse in question is Calliope.... the muse of epic poetry.
