9. Pony was somewhat surprised that he was getting along with Cherry and Marcia. Why?

Cherry and Marcia are Socs. (the upper class of kids). Pony thought that he and Johnny would have nothing in common with them but they did. Pony thought the girls might act better than them but they had more in common and were friendlier than he thought.

Ponyboy thought that because cherry and marcia are socs that they wouldnt get aong but they acctually had alot more in common then they thought.
