Which poems? Fire and Ice? Death of the Hired Man? Many are focused on New England where Frost lived.

Sorry if i wasnt clear :p the. Nothing gold can stay, one

THe poem featured in the book is "Nothing Gold can stay". Johnny encourages Ponyboy not to waste his youth looking for things he does't have. Johnny gets rather Zen about life using Frost's poem as a metaphor. He tells Pony that life is fleeting and nothing is permanent hence "Nothing Gold can Stay". Johnny encourages Pony to see the goodness in people like Darry instead of wasting their relationship.

Thank you! :D

the poem is all about innocent vs. old. it is base on the theme which is used in the novel. but the theme is not used in the book. it has figurative language in it. each line has a meaning, a figurative language, and a description.
