Chapter 2 : Why do you think Johnny spoke up to Dally??

Johnny spoke up to Dally because he was doing something Johnny believed to be wrong. Johnny was the only one who dared speak up to Dally.... because Dally loved him like a brother.

But Johnny was the gang's pet, and Dally just couldn't hit him. He was Dally's pet, too. Dally got up and stalked off, his fists jammed in his pockets and a frown on his face. He didn't come back.
