Explain whether or not the book is believable in term of setting, plot and characters.

The setting is based on Hinton's hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma and the characters are based on people she knew in her childhood. I think the characters are so engaging that they immediately become believable and the reader is immersed into the 1960's culture of this town.
