You are right, Dally is filled with despair. Dally wants to go out rebelling. His dear Johnny is gone and Dally reacts the only way he knows how. It is difficult to give advice to a guy like Dally. My life is so different than his that I would not pretend to know what he feels. I think the only thing I do know is that he had a lot of qualities and that killing himself was not the way to go.
