Where does Ponyboy dream of escaping his life and living? Why?

Ponyboy dreams of escaping his life and living in the country..... he imagines his parents are alive again, that Darry is simply the older brother he looked up to, and that Johnny would come and live with them. He even dreams that his mother could change Dally's life. He dreams this because he misses better times, he misses his parents, and he wants to return to a world where things are simpler again. Ponyboy wants to regain his happy family.
