On Page 109, George notes how important it is to have community involvement in order to negate peer pressure. George joined the Shakespeare Club, Sam took karate, and Rameck was involved in drama. All three boys also participated in other activities that in his own words, "provided us with safe places to meet other kids who shared the same interests."
