What happened to Sam when he wa with Andre?

Andre and his friends took apart a park bench while Sam was hanging around (something Andre didn't like him to do). The boys were putting it back together and they told him to keep the concrete slab balanced...... needless to say; 200 pounds of concrete landed on the toe of his Keds.
