A sympathetic character is a character that you can identify with and care about. Which character in The Pearl do you think is the most sympathetic?

This question calls for your opinion. There is no right or wrong answer. For me, the most sympathetic character would be Juana. She does everything she can to protect her son, her husband...... the family. She stands by Kino, refuses to leave him, tries to show him what the pearl is doing to their family, and in the end..... loses her most precious possession..... her son.
