A sympathetic character is a character that you can identify with and care about. Which character in the pearl do you think is the most sympathetic and why?

This question calls for your opinion. There is no right or wrong answer. I find the novel's most sympathetic character to be Juana. She's a loyal and loving wife, caring mother, and completely devoted to the welfare of her family. In return, she watches her world crumble and her son die.
