Explain the public attitude the dealers had toward Kino and his “Pearl of the World”

The dealers felt that Kino and his people were beneath them: they were savages. The dealers really only worked for one man but they all participated in cheating Kino and his people out of money. They gave a fraction of what their pearls were actually worth.
