The Pearl

I believe the parable is very clear in its warning to be careful what you wish for. Everyone wants to be wealthy, but sometimes the acquisition of wealth means the loss of things that are even more important. The American Dream was never one of riches..... it was a dream of opportunity and hard work...... it was family and a home. Thus, I do not equate this story with the American Dream, but that's only my opinion.
