The Pearl??? HELP???

Explain why Kino is suspicious of the doctor’s “treatment” of Coyotito in Chapter 3 of The Pearl. How does this experience help illustrate why Kino is so dedicated to the idea of Coyotito’s receiving a proper education? Write a response of at least seven to ten sentences and use examples from the text to support your answer.

The doctor initially refused to see Kino's infant son. It was only after Kino found the pearl that the doctor suddenly and suspiciously appeared at his door. One of the reasons Kino wished for his son to have an education was so that he would not be taken advantage of..... that through Coyotito, Kino himself would have access to knowledge.

But Kino's face shone with prophecy. "My son will read and open the books, and my son will write and will know writing. And my son will make numbers, and these things will make us free because he will know- he will know and through him we will know."
