What is a example of suspense in chapter 4 ?

The main suspense found in this chapter is whether or not the pearl buyers are going to try and cheat Kino, or whether they'll give him a fair offer based upon the pearl's worth. It doesn't take us long to find out they're in the business of cheating him..... all of them.

Anoter example of susense is the prowler Kino believes he hears moving about outside the hut..... unfortunately, the only prowler caught and injured is Kino himself..... Juana, too, hears the noise and goes prepared to defend her family.
