Although, I don't see any overt themes of oppression, The Perks of Being a Wallflower does illustrate the burdens people carry from the implementation of abuse both sexual and physical. Oppression when used as a noun is defined as someone unjustly burdened...... in Charlie's case this could mean the sexual abuse he endured at the hands of his aunt. We might aso see a similar meaning in the physical abuse his sister receives from her boyfriend.
