Robert Frost: Poems
if the roads in the poem could talk, what would each road say to convince the reader to choose it?
in the poet "the road not taken"
in the poet "the road not taken"
Each of the two roads would probably cite similar reasons that it should be chosen. They would mention the beauty that surrounds them, the beautiful autumn colors, and the ability to trod through freshly fallen leaves ~ "leaves no step had trodden black."
One of the roads could boast the lack of heavy travel, it would beckon and claim its desire to be useful, "it was grassy and wanted wear." The other road would cite easy passage through an often used path, a path that was clearly marked. This would make it a better choice than, "the one less traveled by."
