What attitude does Henry have toward danger and death in the charge that takes place in Chapter 23?

By chapter 23, Henry has matured beyond the scared boy he once was. There is a courage and bravery about him as well as a mature sense of self-awareness he lacked before. At the end of the chapter the men sit in long grass. Wilson approaches Henry, holding the enemy flag. The two congratulate each other.
