What conclusion about himself does Henry draw toward the end of the book?

Henry has struggled through his adolescent illusions of courage and manhood. By the end of the book Henry revises his ideas of manhood. He accepts vulnerability and wisdom in place of false bravado. He accepts his flaws and understands human nature much better.
