A moral dilemma is a conflict or choice we have to make based upon our personal beliefs of what is right or wrong.
The first line of Chapter Seven reads, "The youth cringed as if discovered in a crime."
In this context, the youth knows his actions were in direct conflict with what he believed to be right. He'd run away from battle, and he'd acted in a way that was contrary to his own definition of courageous. None-the-less, his greatest moral dilemma was still a head.... how would he handle explaining his running away..... would he or wouldn't he admit to it?
