What is your first impression of Henry Fleming

My first impression would be that Henry is too young, too naive, and too ignorant to know what he was getting himself into. Like many boys, he romanticizes war and is eager to become part of the illusion of grandeur. Henry quickly learns that war is not romantic or glamorous.
