Three young men are walking together to a wedding.One of them is stopped by a grizzled old sailor. The young Wedding-Guest angrily demands that the sailor (the Mariner) unhand him.The Mariner does but the young man is transfixed by the ancient Mariner’s “glittering eye”. He sits on a stone to hear his tale.
