Is their anything that comes off as a Shakespearean piece in The Road ?

I think the futility of mankind as well as the tragic flaws of humanity come off as Shakespearean. The fact that man was destined to destroy himself reminded me of a line in Macbeth,

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time,
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death.    Act 5 sc. 5
