Whose heart does this chapter go into the "interior" of? What do you think Dimmesdale's feelings are towards Hester at this point?

We are seeing the interior of Dimmesdale's heart. His feelings toward Hester at this point in the story are those of guilt and shame.

"And now, through the chamber which these spectral thoughts had made so ghastly, glided Hester Prynne, leading along little Pearl, in her scarlet garb, and pointing her forefinger, first, at the scarlet letter on her bosom, and then at the clergyman's own breast."
