Deborah

There's not much positive word regarding Deborah. She got pregnant out of wedlock, left her husband (and Lily), went back to retrieve her daughter and was accidently shot by her during a fight. Positive? She never gets over it, even after she runs away from home her mother follows her with feelings of guilt. It's a very sad story that ends with peace. The Boatwright sisters took her mother in when she needed them, just as they did with Lily; and through them, she learns there is more than one type of mother.
