What do you understand from Milton'sonnet (ON HIS BLINDNESS) ?

Milton laments the loss of his site and wants to know what plan God has for him if he can no longer write. Milton tries to process his blindness and come to terms with how he may serve God. Milton concludes that God doesn't need his writing and states that he must be patient and wait to find out God's plan for him.
