The Stranger
How does Meursault describe the funeral procession- why was it a difficult experience for him? How does he say he felt after the burial was concluded? Are his reactions odd? Explain.
part 1 chapter 1
part 1 chapter 1
Meursault described the procession as quick moving.
I had an impression that our little procession was moving slightly faster.
After the burial was concluded, he admits to remembering practically nothing.
After that everything went with a rush; and also with such precision and matter-of- factness that I remember hardly any details.
In my opinion, this last reaction wasn't odd. Events likely proceed so quickly that details are difficult to remember.
