Miranda is all head over heals for Ferdinand. She talks like a schoolgirl in love for the first time. She speaks about Ferdinand in absolutes (kind of reminds of a certain Juliet speaking about Romeo). I think this reflects the innocence even naiveté that exists on this island. The Tempest puts these characters in a very simple Eden-like setting. Although there is discovery, there is also ignorance.
