what kind of leader do you feel Lt. Jimmy Cross is?

He isn't that effective. Jimmy is isn't exactly gritty and tough. Jimmy doesn't want to be in the war or care to be a team leader. He daydreams about unrequited love of a girl and rules about golf. This invariably leads to one of his men getting killed (Lavender and Kiowa.) This piles guilt on Jimmy who already isn't ready to lead. Jimmy isn't attentive or cautionary, he frequently slips into one of his daydreams when things get tough.
