In the chapter "Spin," O'Brien bounces back and forth between lucid and disillusioned. His memories are jumbled and disconnected..... and through those memories, we, as readers, find ourselves a bit more understanding of the repercussions. O'Brien speaks to the boredom, the stress, and the fear. We see their humanity and their inhumanity...... all while trying to understand both.
