Where in the text are there examples symbolism and foreshadowing?

One example of foreshadowing occurs when Jimmy Cross burns Martha's photo. Burning her photo foreshadows his need to remove all distractions in order to be a better leader to the men. This same event also symbolizes Cross' need to let go.
