Who are the enemies in this chapter? What do they fight about?

In this chapter we come to learn how the best of friends can become enemies, and how enemies can fast become the best of friends. The characters in question are comrades.... wartime roomates, who spend endless amounts of time in each other's company without a break.... there are no breaks in war.

The men fight over silly things... pen knives, as well as dangerous things like guns. They have to work through trust issues and getting past the inconsequential because each and everyone of them is responsible for the other.
