Christof, the creator of the Truman Show, states at the beginning of the
movie that “…while the world he (Truman) inhabits is, in some
respects, counterfeit, there is nothing fake about Truman himself.”
What does he mean by this statement? Is Truman’s world real or
artificial? Why?

Truman's character traits are genuine None-the-less, his life is manipulated. In essence, Truman is exactly what he believe him to be..... he just hasn't had the opportunity to make his own choices or act independently.
