how is tsotsi's life before the arrival of the baby in his life and how the baby changes it ?

The name Tsotsi is literally translated to "thug". Tsotsi is a low-level thug with a small group of friends who do crimes in Soweto. There is little regard for others. They simply survive by robbing and killing people. The baby seems to prevent Tsotsi from doing bad things for awhile simply because, unlike a TV set, a baby demands all his attention. Tsotsi is softened by the baby but I'm not sure about changed.
