Analyze Baldwin’s reaction towards McMurdo in the bar? Was it justified in act 1 scene 6,7,8.

Baldwin thinks that McMurdo is stealing his woman. He seems like a hothead looking for a fight. Baldwin doesn't seem too smart because he challenges the McGinty, the most powerful man in the valley.
