Does the appearance of Captain Marvin seem coincidental??

Initially, his appearance seems coincidental, and McGinty believes the man has only come into the saloon for a drink. We quickly learn, however, that Marvin almost immediately calls out McMurdo, which is what he intended to do all along. Marvin is aware of McMurdo's true identity, and by calling him out, he makes McMurdo a hero among the miners.
