What image do the Watsons present in their layers of clothing? Does this contribute to their reputation of being “weird

The Watson children likely seem quite the group, as they peel off layer upon layer of clothing. I'm sure the other children get a kick out of watching Kenny help his sister cast off her outer garments, but I personally don't think layers are that big of a deal. Then again, children will tease other children about almost anything.
