How can people be led into evil so quickly? What strategies were used and how similar strategies were used by Hitler during World War II?

I think the power of the Wave lies in the collective spirit that is derived through fascism. People like to belong to something: we are very tribal. That combined with fear and intimidation wielded by people in power makes fascist ideas easy to take hold.
