How has Chris Theodorakis changed in The Westing Game?

Over the course of the novel, Chris changes from a young man who has accepted his condition (a degenerative neurological disorder), into a young man who seeks help and sees that his dreams are still attainable. When we first meet Chris, he enjoys nothing more than bird watching (something he can do from the confines of his wheelchair), and he is easily frustrated by his inability to communicate. Chris is treated differently because of his condition, but inside he is the same Chris.... he's intelligent, sharp, and observant. The game gives him the opportunity to get involved in something... to use his intelligence. And when all is said and done, he becomes a successful ornithologist.
