The Winslow Boy

Which character do you consider to have made the most impact on you as a reader, and how does the writer’s methods of characterizing him/her achieve this?

I find Sir Robert Morton to be the most interesting character in the story. When we first meet him, we're not sure what kind of man or lawyer he will be... what his motives are in taking the case. As the story goes on, however, we find that Morton isn't just a good lawyer.... he is a respectable man who follows his beliefs and fights for what he believes to be right. He isn't just there for the money.
