Why is it significant that Janie invites Tea Cake to sit with her on the front porch? What does he do with her on their first
night time “date”?
Inviting Tea Cake on the front porch shows that she is showing interest in Tea Cake and isn't afraid to show others. I believe Tea Cake combs Janie's hair and picks out the dandruff on their first "date".
