Their Eyes Were Watching God

How does Janie’s journey – from West Florida, to Eatonville, to the Everglades – represent her and the novel’s increasing immersion in black culture and traditions?

Is she a woman or a girl trapped in woman's body, still in her youth.

She is a woman............. although older than Tea Cake, she has for the first time found love and happiness.......... that's enough to make her feel and act like a younger woman. She has found what she's always searched for.
