In what way did the people in Janie's life fail to give her what she needed?

Janie's grandmother, Logan Killicks,Joe Starks, and even Tea Cake let Janie down. Her grandmother expects Janie to marry out of necessity rather than love. Logan Killicks, her first husband, treats her like a mule. Joe Starks is initially charismatic but treats her no better than Logan. Tea Cake is the first man to treat Janie with respect but he is unstable emotionally and financially.
