Thi quote illustrates the belief of the Igbo people that sitting down to talk over a meal is as prized as a fine work of art. Proverbs (or conversation) aren't to be quickly absorbed and forgotten, they should be enjoyed with company and accompanied by thoughtful discussion. When you think about it, there just might be something for us to learn from this!
